Dr Jamie O’Driscoll
Jamie is an Associate Professor of Lifestyle Medicine and a Clinical Scientist in Cardiology with a global reputation in the non-pharmacological management and risk stratification of chronic diseases. Holding a First Class Honours Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree, a Master of Science (MSc) degree with Distinction, and a PhD, Jamie combines academic excellence with extensive clinical and research experience. He has authored over 100 scientific publications, including peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and presentations at national and international conferences. His work has informed policy documents and clinical guidelines, contributing to systemic improvements in preventive healthcare.
Jamie also has substantial clinical expertise in advanced cardiovascular diagnostics, performing cardiac screening for professional athletes, including Premier League football players, as well as individuals living with heart disease. This unique blend enables him to support a wide spectrum of clients, from those at peak physical performance to those managing chronic cardiovascular conditions. Under Jamie’s leadership, Peak Health Consultancy operates at the intersection of research, clinical expertise, and real-world application, delivering accurate, actionable health insights that drive better outcomes and support long-term wellness.

Dr Jamie Edwards
Jamie is a cardiovascular scientist and leading researcher with a strong academic record, including over 30 peer-reviewed publications in leading medical journals. He holds a PhD in Cardiovascular Physiology, is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and has master’s-degree qualifications in echocardiography and health science, alongside an undergraduate degree in sport and exercise science.
Dr Edwards’ PhD research explored lifestyle-based approaches to improving cardiovascular structure, function, haemodynamics, autonomic regulation, and quality of life—from healthy adults to individuals with advanced chronic disease. His work has directly influenced the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Policy Guidelines, helping to reshape how exercise is prescribed for blood pressure management across Europe. His research has gained significant international media attention, including front-page features and radio interviews with outlets such as the BBC and The New York Times.

Michelle Kotze
Michelle is an experienced healthcare professional with a strong academic and clinical background. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Cardiac Physiology and a Master’s degree in General Cardiology. Since earning her accreditation from the British Society of Echocardiography, Michelle has maintained this credential through continuous professional development and a steadfast commitment to excellence in patient care.
With extensive experience across both public and private healthcare sectors in London, Michelle has played a key role in establishing new diagnostic clinics and satellite sites—enhancing the accessibility and quality of cardiovascular services.
A dedicated mentor and educator, Michelle has been instrumental in the training of junior doctors, cardiac physiologists, and colleagues working toward professional accreditation. Her leadership reflects a deep commitment to fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
More recently, Michelle has expanded her professional focus to include mindfulness education. Drawing on her training in this field, she creates strategies to help reduce stress and anxiety across a range of groups, including healthcare teams and corporate professionals. This holistic approach highlights her passion for promoting well-being, resilience, and the highest standards of care in both clinical and organisational settings.

Rachel O’Driscoll
Rachel is a qualified Nurse with extensive experience across a broad range of healthcare settings. With a strong foundation in healthcare, Rachel brings a wealth of clinical expertise and compassionate practice to her consultancy role. Her professional background includes delivering high-quality care, supporting individuals with complex health needs, and contributing to service improvement initiatives within both hospital and community environments.
At Peak Health Consultancy, Rachel brings a practical and insightful approach to health consultancy, offering expert support in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of screening programmes aimed at early detection and prevention of chronic disease. Her commitment to safe, person-centred care underpins her approach, helping healthcare providers improve outcomes through timely identification and proactive health management.

Molly Thomson
Molly holds a First Class Honours degree in Biomolecular Science and has years of experience working within compliance. Her work has spanned regulatory interpretation, internal audits, risk management, and ensuring organisations meet legal and ethical standards across complex operational environments. She brings a practical, detail-focused approach to embedding good governance—whether advising on policy, supporting audit readiness, or risk management. With a clear understanding of both legal frameworks and real-world delivery, Molly helps ensure that high standards are upheld without slowing down innovation.
Professor Rajan Sharma
Professor Rajan Sharma is a consultant cardiologist with a subspecialty interest in echocardiography, heart valve disease, cardio-oncology, and functional assessment of coronary artery disease. He qualified from Guy’s and St Thomas’ United Medical School of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and trained in a number of London institutions as well as Southampton University Hospital Cardiothoracic Unit. He is Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery Clinical Director at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and has undertaken a number of leadership roles within the NHS.
Professor Sharma has extensive expertise in managing a broad range of cardiac conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy, hypertension, and arrhythmias. He regularly assesses patients with symptoms such as chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations, dizziness, and blackouts. He also has a specialist interest in preventative cardiology and microvascular angina and supports patients seeking to understand and manage their individual cardiovascular risk. He adopts a holistic, patient-centred approach, combining lifestyle advice with advanced diagnostic testing and appropriate medical or interventional therapies.
Professor Sharma is considered a national and international expert in complex echocardiography (ultrasound scanning of the heart). This includes transoesophageal echocardiography, stress echocardiography, deformation imaging, contrast echocardiography and three-dimensional echocardiography. These techniques allow detailed evaluation of patients with suspected heart muscle disease, coronary artery disease, and valvular heart disease. He is a recognised expert of stress echocardiography for the DVLA and CAA.
His research focuses on the dynamic assessment of coronary and valvular heart disease, as well as cardiovascular risk in specific population groups. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications and presented widely at national and international conferences, particularly in the fields of quantitative echocardiography, coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy, heart rate variability, and valve pathology.
